Who you’re buying from
Print of the Day is run by Print of the Day Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17317390), registered office 203 West Street, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 0EN. You can reach us at [email protected]. When these terms say “we” or “us”, that’s who we mean.
These terms cover every order placed on printoftheday.uk. Nothing in them takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
What you’re buying
Every print in the shop is a limited edition giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. I print each one myself, sign it, number it and pair it with a signed Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity carrying its own security hologram.
Each artwork comes in three fixed editions: A4 (100 prints), A3 (50 prints) and A2 (25 prints). The edition size is on the product page and on your certificate. When an edition sells out, it’s closed and that edition will not be printed again.
Some artworks may also be sold as open edition prints through our open edition shop. Open editions are a separate product: they’re never signed or numbered, don’t come with a certificate of authenticity and never count towards a limited edition.
Screens show colour differently, so your print may look slightly different in real life to how it looks on your phone or monitor. That’s normal and isn’t a fault.
Prices and paying
Prices are in pounds sterling. Print of the Day Ltd is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. UK delivery is free.
You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay at checkout, or by bank transfer. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. Bank transfer orders are held until the payment reaches us, then dispatched.
Your order
You’ll get an email confirming your order straight away. The contract between us starts when we send that confirmation.
Occasionally two people buy the last print in an edition at the same moment. If that happens to you, we’ll tell you straight away and refund you in full.
Delivery
We currently deliver to UK addresses only. Every order goes by Royal Mail Special Delivery, tracked and signed for, at no charge.
We dispatch within 3 to 5 working days of your order. Each print is wrapped in acid-free tissue and posted in a sturdy tube, with its certificate flat alongside it. You’ll get a tracking number when it leaves us.
The print is your responsibility once it’s been delivered and signed for. If nobody is in, Royal Mail leaves a card so you can rearrange delivery or collect it.
Changing your mind
You have 14 days from the day your print arrives to change your mind and get your money back. Our returns and refunds page explains how.
Damaged or faulty prints
If your print arrives damaged or isn’t right, email us as soon as you can with a photo of the print and the packaging. We’ll print you a replacement carrying the same edition number, with a new signed Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity, or give you a full refund, whichever you prefer. We’ll pay to have the damaged print and its certificate sent back, and both are destroyed, so there is only ever one print with each number. None of this affects your legal rights if a print is faulty.
Copyright
The artwork is owned by Tim Pearson Holdings Ltd and licensed to Print of the Day Ltd. Buying a print means you own that physical print. It doesn’t give you the right to copy, scan, photograph for resale or reproduce the artwork in any other form.
If something goes wrong
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. We’re not responsible for losses that weren’t foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing here limits our liability where the law says it can’t be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the one that applies to it.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
